Voice recognition challenges

I imagine, together with many others, I am experiencing difficulties with ever increasing numbers, including hospitals specialising in respiratory conditions, in coping with voice recognition answering systems.

Whilst quite rightly there is legislation existing to protect and accommodate the challenges experienced by those with disabilities necessitating for example the use of wheelchairs, where is like consideration for those of us whose vocal abilities are compromised.

The frustration of having a mechanical voice repeatedly requesting an improved vocal delivery appears to be a violation of our human rights.

Any supportive responses will be very greatly appreciated, please.

All companies including banks and others that use this system MUST have an alternative way to access services. If you look on company websites should find options.Lots of people for a variety of reasons have difficulty with vocal delivery. Those who are profoundly Deaf may have difficulty for example.

I very greatly appreciate your guidance and will follow your suggestion. However, given that typically we are obliged to be subjected to choosing between numerous options, it shouldn't be beyond the capabilities of these institutions to also include something appropriate for those of us who are vocally challenged.
