Different hair fashions .
Oh yes, most definitely. Lovely photo Holly. Xxxπ
Hi Sassy, It's a wonder I have any hair left when I think how I treat my hair back combed and sprayed it with hair spray. ππππ
I used to have a perm years ago. My poor hair. I still use hairspray but no back combing anymore. ππβ€οΈπ
Yes perms me too bleach high lights hair colour. When I think,I would try them all. Holly π π XX
I used a spray conditioner for my hair and it caused my sensitivity to a silicone that it contained and breathed in every day. Having caused that to my skin just what did it do to my lungs ! I found that silicone is in almost every hair product because it makes your hair shine until it gets coated . You cannot remove it except with vinegar so I had to rinse my hair using vinegar, and leave it in ,smelling like a chippy ! So now use organic and never use any spray for anything. You don't want to breathe it in. There are so many cleaning sprays too to avoid. Always read the contents and be aware of what you might be breathing into your and your families lungs .
Totally agree Jaybird. I use my hairspray in a well ventilated room and then leave the room immediately. I never spray anything near Pete. We all have to take care of our lungs completely. So many pollutants around.
Take care xxxxx ππ
There are so many things to be wary of.. Life becomes difficult enough over the years.
The hair lacquer did come in useful when I used it to fix and seal my pastel drawings and had to take them outside ! T
And hold them at arms length. Then I found out that pastels are not advisable for people with lung problems ! So gave up the pastels too. !
I'm glad you were taking care.
yes and mini skirts Don't touch the hairsprays, I am sure they did some damage to the lungs back then.
Hi ,Bkin yes and the mini skirts, hair spray deffenatly bad for the lungs don't use it now.π Holly

LOL lovely old times and sassy picture. Hairspray was an absolute must LOL in this time, never left the house without it. ππΊπΊπ
Hi Melnel, Yes they were good times. Combing my hair was torture getting all the hair spray out.πππ Holly πXX
Have I missed something? Has backcombing gone out of fashion? Haha! Never used hairspray though, couldnβt stand the smell. I couldnβt manage without mousse nowadays.
Only from the point ov view of being a punk on ocasion ππ
Love the picture!! Simpler days. When I was in high school I had hair down to my waist. The style was straight with just a little turned under at the ends and of course backcombed to get some height!! I remember setting my hair in used juice cans as it made it straight but with fullness !! I remember my dad asking me what radio station was I listening to because with all that metal on top of my head something must be coming inππ€£ I really miss those days!! The picture is so pretty!
Hi Solily, Thank you yes they were simpler days I think I got more pleasure with thing we had then Happy with what I had. Young and care free. My Dad always told me I would go bald. Holly π π X

It was still the fruit and veg market when I was there Holly - I did get loads of free fruit . . .
It would be very interesting to work there with all the different people passing by. A to get free fruit great. Holly π€ XX

i am ultra impressed.before the market closed in 1974 posh totty where the prey for us young bloods with awful chat up lines after the popping of pills of dubious substance.i had a friend who was a freelance graphic artist who had a small studio there.though he was far more successfully being handsome and better off.thank you for provoking old memories.
Ski's reminicing

Holly when I left the film company I went off to live in the USA for around 8 years , so glad I didn't stay there though . . . .
I wonder if I knew your graphic artist SirSki?
Have you still got your knickers on lol if so then you probably didn't,he was called Andy Newman.thin build.handsome with dark hair and definitely a ladies man with a silky charm that was difficult to resist, rather partial to liquid lunchtimes if i remeber correctly and his attic studio wasn't terribly productive.π x
I can't even remember hair! π
