New to community

Hello everyone. New to this community, so keen to share and hear other members experiences of living with a lung condition, particularly copd. I have probably had this for 15 years but only diagnosed about 8. Very severe breathing difficulties but no cough or phlegm. Have been shielding for a year and have had vaccine recently. Hurrah xx

Welcome Maggity, diagnosed 16 years ago emphysema copd. If you've not ever done one or feel you are deconditioned with limited mobility ask your doctor if you can access an on-line course in pulmonary rehabilitation, it may well help you regain some quality of life.

Thank you Bkin, I have done a pr course and am trying to keep up with my exercises during lockdown. However recently unwell and haven't done them for about 3 or 4 weeks. Breathing really bad so just starting them all over again. Stay well xx

Hello Maggity and welcome to you. I’m carer for my husband who was diagnosed with COPD (chronic bronchitis) 10 years ago. He coughs lots and has a productive cough.

I joined about 3 months ago and have found people on this forum to be really supportive, and at times up for a laugh which we all need during these current times that we are all going through.
