Hi! Im new to this forum. Before i start, let me just mention that english is not my first languge, so i may make some mistakes in typing. I am 17 years old and ive had asthma since i was young. Ive had mild lung crackling that sometimes occurs at night for years now but lately i feel like it has gotten more frequent. Thing is, i dont know if im just being too aware of my own body or its actually getting worst. I started noticing these crackles worsening on december, which is when i lost my dad to lung cancer. My lung would crackle everyday when i breath especially at night, but only when i am laying on my side. It crackles on the middle a little bit to the right of my chest and on the bottom of my right chest. The crackles will go when i cough most of the time but sometimes it doesnt. Accompanied with that, i sneezed a lot last week but it stopped and now i am having a lot of post nasal drain that is causing my throat to feel rlly itchy, but my cough is dry. Last week my right chest hurt when i sneeze or run, but now it has also disappeared. I also notice that i would feel pain on random parts of my body that goes away when i distract myself from anxiety. I am going through a lot of stress and anxiety right now, especially with my already existing OCD which really makes my stress level higher. Going to google scared me! All i could find was all these deadly disease which definitely didnt help ease my anxiety at all. My mom gave me paracetamol everyday for 3 days now and i feel better, but i dont know if its just placebo effect. I also can feel my side and stomach crackling from time to time so i wonder if it may also be some stomach problem. Thank you for reading, im sorry if its a bit hard to understand.

Hi Feliciaalpaca and a very warm welcome to you. Your English is excellent and not hard to read or understand.
Not sure which country you live in or your health system. You might want to visit your doctor, if it’s only to get peace of mind or to get clarification.
So sorry to hear of your dear Dad’s passing. Please don’t get ahead of yourself thinking the worst though but get checked out with the doc.
Please let us know how you get on.
Love cx
Hi and welcome. My sympathies on the loss of your father. Your English is very good so no apology needed. I agree with cofdrop about seeing your doctor to get a check up and to discuss your current problems. Best wishes.
You explained all that perfectly! I agree that you need checking out for reassurance. Make an appointment with your doctor. Just show him/her your posting if you need to explain your problem. As you say,it could be stress but you will be a lot less stressed when you have a definite diagnosis. Let us know how you go on.
Hi, my friend and welcome to the site. Good suggestions from others on here. Try not to worry too much and go to see your Dr for a check-up. So sorry to hear about your dad's passing. Try to keep positive. John
Hello and welcome to this site, I agree with the other replies that you have had, see your doctor for some reassurance. Sorry to hear about your dad's passing, an upsetting time for you. I have found people on this site very friendly and helpful so I hope you can find some comfort in that we are always here for you. Best Wishes.
Hello Felicia, Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your excellent English. Sorry that you have lost your dad while you are so young. The others have made good suggestions. Other people on this site have also complained of lung crackling, so it is a known condition. Don't take too much notice of what you read on Google- a lot of it is scaremongering. The BLF and NHS sites are best. xxx Alberta
Thank you! Are these crackles something that is normal with asthma?
I have Pulmonary Fibrosis and it was diagnosed because of crackling lungs. I think its quite common in any respiratory problem .Its 3 years since my diagnosis so I dont think crackling lungs have affected me much!
To be honest ,I don't hear the crackles. It's the doctors that hear them through their stethoscope. My doctor once asked me if I wanted to hear them! I presume that they are there all the time.
How is it now? I currently have all the symptoms you have, what's the diagnosis?
