Feeling rough

Been coughing up small amounts of blood last few days, middle of the night last night, so shattered this morning, used to happen more often but have had a long clear spell. It depresses me so.

So sorry to hear you are poorly Iris,hopefully just the remnants of a previous infection or provoked by the coughing and as you say like me you have had previous similar incidents. Rest up and monitor the situation and perhaps advise your gp at the same time and hopefully all will resolve itself over the next couple of days.

As we get older our blood vessels and capillaries become less flexible and more easily broken so it might just be that, but best get it seen to.

Thanks Don. GPS seem pretty unobtainable, but So far it’s manageable. Wrong time of the year to have no appetite! Would love to put on some weight, 71/2 stone is my lightest ever. x

Some would think it the best time of the year to have no appetite. 😉 But no, you are right, we should be able to enjoy ourselves. Perhaps some of the Christmas goodies might entice you as you begin to feel better. The sight of blood itself can make you feel rotten.

It’s rotten when you have had a good spell and then such a downturn. They happen so quickly. It’s a Merry go round you just don’t want to be on. I really hope it clears up for you quickly and it’s just the remnants of an infection. Sounds like a good time to rest

Thanks for your concern. I am very lucky,. Have my husband, who is 91 but helpful, and my two sons live next door and two doors way. One lives in Sydney. Prayers are alwys welcome. Love Iris x
