sounds like you have picked a flu virus don't just ignore it get seen about it you don't want to gamble with your life if you need to go into hospital again so be it its better than the alternative. good luck

Sorry to hear you have been in hosp with pneumonia. I had that + septicaemia some years ago. For around 3 months, I tired very easily and felt weak. Have you checked your temp. If you are worried, ring your surgery before they close for the weekend. All the best pergola x PS get better soon.

Good advice from Pergola, Mocarey. I wouldn't fancy hospital either but it is better than feeling so ill. Have they said what the trouble was the second time? Are they not clearing the pneumonia thoroughly? Get your GP to clarify things for you. xx

Bearing in mind you have recently come out of hospital, please telephone your doctor and ask to speak with him / her today for further advice.

Your symptoms do sound like the flu where normally, you will need to stay in the warm, rest in bed if you need to, drink plenty of fluids and take paracetamol. But please do ring your doctor or NHS direct for further advice and help on this situation, don't forget to say about your recent hospital stay and the pneumonia.

Take good care BC

NHS direct:

PS, if there is a walk in clinic near you access their phone line for after hours doctors who can call on you and don't hesitate call the emergency number if your breathing deteriorates.

Please listen to pergola and the others and call your doctor asap Mocary. Don't dice with your health no matter how much you'd hate going into hosp again.

Feeling very tired and sleeping a lot is normal after having pneumonia. The dizzy and shivery bit needs to be checked out. Good luck and let us know how you get on. Sara

Please Mocarey, do as the others have said ring your Dr. now, there is still time before the weekend. I had a dizzy spell a few days ago and it was so frightening and I live with my husband.

Jimmy, you have done the same as me, an emergency bag in the wardrobe. All I need to do is put my meds in but, lets hope, it wont happen.

Hi Mocaray, I too was in hospital with pneumonia in November and the same as you i have been exhausted ever since. I now go to bed for a couple of hours each afternoon. I have questioned this with my respitory. Nurse and she has put itdown to my heart and lungs. Progressively getting worse. Sorry i am not the bearer of good new, but going to bed for a wee nod helps. Love and hugs berwick xx

Dear Mo

Been away a few days and I am just so sorry to see you are feeling so poorly still. My goodness you have been through the mill so much. I did wonder why they let you out after 9 days as I know they usually give you IVs for the full 14 days and don't do home IVs. Are you now continuing on oral abs sweetheart.

There is a horrid virus called labrynthitis which causes dizzyness. I have bouts of dizziness caused by crystals dislodging in the ear and it is very scary and makes our physio virtually impossible, although that doesn't make me feel achy and shivery like you are hun.

Please Mo contact you GP or consultant's sec. I know you must be heartily sick of hospital the amount of time you spend there but we want you well. They might be able to help you at home - I do hope so.

Get well soon dearest Mo. If you can get online please let us know how you get on and/or you know where I am sweetheart.

With love

cx

Hi everyone. Things have settled a little. Thanks for all your advice. I disovered that I had missed my pred for a couple of days. First time in 40 years as I am religious with my drugs. For some reason we omited to put it in my dosset box and I think this made matters worse. I need my steroids as my body no longer makes it naturally. Coughed a lot last night but didn't feel desperately ill. Still on the doxy I was sent home with.

One disappointment was that I was supposed to be at my brothers golden wedding party on saturday night and obviously that was out of the equation. Beginning to think I have to forget any nights out. Quite honestly i could live with that if i managed to get outdoors during the day for a wee while now and again. Thank you each and every one.

Good morning Mocarey you sound more cheerful. Spring is coming then summer I'm sure you will make it out then. I will feel much better to see the sun and feel the warmth. Have a good day xx
