So just weighed myself so can keep an eye on how well the water tablets & steroids are working. Have now lost over 45 lbs and can see my toes again. Don't remember having such knobbly knees though. Puts me in mind if "Hi- de- Hi" and the knobbly knees competition 😆

Nephrotic Syndrome kidneys causes low albumin & protein leaks = big sweĺling into limbs, stomach & even into lungs.

Oh yes was bit worried to start with having pleural effusions in lungs on top of Bronchiectasis & then flaming Covid but no breathlessness 😁

Slap on some nice moisturising cream and they'll soon be good as new! I wouldn't mind being boney - my mother told me when I was a teenager I'd got legs like tree trunks and I've had a thing about them ever since. She was right, by the way! xx Moy

That is some weight loss Hope you feel better for it? I cannot take water tablets they seem to make my kidneys painful?

Thank you. Unfortunately I have Nephrotic Syndrome & have to take the old "here we go again" tablets for a few weeks till steroids kick in. The other drawback is restricting oral fluid intake to just 1 litre in 24hrs and that includes milk on cereal and even gravy 😕 still waiting for final part of biopsy result to see if found the actual cause apparently sometimes never do and it could have been a immune response to a bug
