I have just received my love letter from Matt. 4 pages printed on both sides that tells me absolutely nothing that I do not already know, other than the link to obtain my free low dose of Vitamin D.
Will it be vitamin D3 or the D2 form which is much less effective:

Doctor told me yesterday not to take more than 25 microgram per day . I am still taking a bit more. And again nothing about the fat absorbency. All the vit d on sale that I have found seems to be d3 but daily doses seem to vary and i see that people on this forum take a lot more And what is the conversion rate from micro gram to units please..
The government are relying on a lack of knowledge in all that they do anyway.

If you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or bronchiectasis and get frequent chest infections, a vitamin D supplement may reduce your risk of getting future chest infections if you are deficient. However, for some people with lung conditions, such as those with sarcoidosis, vitamin D supplements are not advisable.
Talk to your health care professional to ask if a vitamin D supplement is suitable for you before you consider taking extra vitamin D.
I have registered for mine, I do notice that it stresses in he letter the importance of vitamin D in autumn and winter but states a ‘delivery’ date of January 2021.OK - I’m being a bit of a pedant - only to be expected from someone who spends most of her time indoors nowadays.
I always use the meteorological standard for the seasons. Autumn has already gone and the first day of Winter was yesterday, Assuming delivery on the first of January that leaves just 2 months of winter left. The same old familiar theme, 'too little, too late'
Exactly! I am thankful that I am now in group 4 for vaccination instead of group 6 - my cynical head says that will coincide with the vit D (if I’m lucky 🙄
Would I need to have to wait for the a government letter asking me to apply for the Vit D or should I fill in a link somewhere or other? I’m a COPD patient.
You can just google gov.uk Vit D supplies and the appropriate form will be somewhere there to fill out. But you have to be on the CEV list to qualify for it.
I have made comments several times Re Vitamin D, but yesterday I had Dr telephone appt for my blood results.
Results and the VitD is apparently exceptional and she was very pleased to read.
Apparently the ‘Good’ is 50 and by all accounts mine is currently 102 and classed as excellent. Yippee!!
I do need a repeat test on the 17th to confirm my increased inflammatory markers are nothing to worry about and just the normal bronc.
So all in all one very happy bunny as feeling pretty good this year, particularly as now into December without any further infections since Feb. Tbh virtually unheard of for me.
