Why I am experiencing sudden breathlessness ?
Hi Vishnu, What kind of an inhaler did your doctor give you?
Hai troilus thank you for your reply ,my doctor gave me salmeterol & fluticasone propionate inhalation up inhailer ,seroflo 250 synchrobreathe
Hi Vishnu,
I notice your PFT results has possible asthma as a diagnosis, but I don’t see any indication of reversibility testing.
As it is suspected asthma I think it would be a good idea to take your peak flow regularly each day and make a note of your readings. Typically, I do it as soon as I get up and repeat it again about an hour later. I do the same at night. Take a reading, take meds and take another reading about an hour later. It is a bit of a nuisance but it soon just becomes part of the daily routine.
This information will help your doctors to tailor your treatment to your needs. If your doctor did not give you a peak flow meter you can get a simple Wright meter from Amazon or EBay. (They are not expensive.)
Make sure you take your inhalers as prescribed and hopefully you should start to see an improvement.
Obviously no one can make any form of diagnosis on line. However excessive yawning can be related to a number of conditions and may well have no relation to your lungs. Also due to the sudden onset of your shortness of breath they may also not be a primary lung problem. The safest advice I can give is to go back to your doctor for further tests .
Hi, please be in touch with your GP by phone appointment and say that you are suffering still!
I was back and forth doc who insisted I was suffering anxiety and prescribed various inhalers
that didn’t help! To cut a long story- I’m diagnosed I P F!
I’m on oxygen and meds for polymyalgia rhumatica and just so glad I kept up mithering!
I’m now in a good place recieving good care.
This is just my story and I’m not suggesting that it relates to your situation, just to say pursue and make your concerns are addressed!
All the very best
Have you had recent problems with reflux and a upset stomach? That can sometimes cause breathing problems.
Yes sir I have been having the gastro problem since March 2020
Are you taking medicines for your gastro problems?
No sir not yet , actually I was not that aware of that....
Try taking some medication for your gastro problems or avoid the foods that upset your stomach and see if that helps things. When the stomach is upset, it can create a lot of acid which can burn the lower end of the gullet and cause fumes that upsets breathing. All the best.
