Hi yes I claim PIP. It is a slow process made worse by Covid. You are not being a grump but like most who claim PIP must be feeling frustrated by a very uncaring system. I was on the old DLA and then was changed to PIP. I have just won my Appeal and been granted the award I was on under DLA. Most examinations are now done over the phone, always answer the question as if it is your worse day and never give up. Appeal Appeal and Appeal again. If you are aged over 50 I would advise you to get help if you need to appeal. AgeUK have some very good advisors.
The DWP has two speeds slow and stop!
As Badbessie says answer any questions as if it’s your worst day ever, many assessments are done over the phone.
If refused appeal then appeal again
There’s a very good website called benefits and work, it costs about £20 a year but they have brilliant guides to all benefits and a good forum for questions
