I stayed awake and went for a drive u... - Lung Conditions C...
I stayed awake and went for a drive up the road to catch the Northern lights 2.30 am ...

What a fantastic colour. So beautiful. It certainly was worth it Bb9. Xxxππππππ
Ahhhh it was stunning π
Beautiful!
Could you see it with your naked eye - just in some reports said they could only be seen by a camera and that made me think well how would you know where to take the photo? π
Definitely the naked eye and very beautiful it was to π
Wow! what an adventure xx
I went with my heated mug of hot chocolate and and my gillet thing that's heats up when charged ...worth the outing π
Love the colours so vibrant πππ©·π©·π©΅π©΅ X
It was beautiful π
Wow!! Well worth the outing (says she having been fast asleep in the warm!), thank you xx
where is this at ? Ifyou donβt mind me asking the views are absolutely amazing πxx
New Forest in Hampshire the above pic is one of my favourite places called Hatchet pond π
amazing colours and an incredible photo. Thank you for sharing.
Many thanks appreciated did you not get any sightings ??

I did see the northern lights but didnβt get photos anywhere near as good as yours!
I'm sure they were perfect that far North π₯°
Wonderful. Definitely worth it. Iβve seen a few photos of the northern lights doing the rounds but this is by far the best. I love it π
Thankyou so much very appreciated π
Oh, my word! You've done it again! What a stunning photo. Well done for staying awake. We couldn't see the lights from our house although we went outside in the hope of catching something, but some neighbours around the corner got good urban photos, as did our son who saw them from his window. He said he couldn't see them with the naked eye but the camera still got them.
We're in Eastbourne but our daughter saw them in Cumbria, 400 miles away. The whole country must have been lit up.
Your photo is definitely one to treasure. Xx Moy
We didn't get the lights here in Cardiff either!
How are you and Socks the cat getting on?
Here there is a very handsome black and white cat that lives nearby that has a white bib and white socks as markings!
We're ok, thanks. We enjoyed our long weekend in Cwmbran two weeks ago but since coming back have had nasty coughs and colds. Both feeling better now, though. Socks came back from the cattery with a new miaow! She sounds like the cat who was in the next pen! They enjoyed a good old spitting session when she first arrived but by the time we got back they were friends. Lol!
She's pleased to be home and joining us when we go to bed. She just snuggles down in the dip between us for a while then takes herself off to her own bed when we put the light out.
Love to Baby from Socks. Xx Moy
Thankyou so much Moy there was certainly a few areas that didn't see anything but I'm pleased I got the opportunity to just witness it for a while ...I absolutely adore Cumbria enjoy the weekend π₯°π₯°
Fantastic picture, stunning colour's x
It was amazing to the naked eye ...much smaller than through my lens but still beautiful π
Spectacular! What a wonderful experience! Well done! xx
It was certainly enjoyable lots of ppl were out and about at the same place π₯°

Take care
Wendy xx
Ahhh thanks Wendy your very welcome π₯°
Wow that's an amazing photo Blackbird, and what dedication to get up in the freezing cold in the middle of the night to take it. Thank youπβ€οΈxxx
It was an experience I won't regret ... I have done a few late night outings but this was by far the best π₯°
Thatβs so beautiful π . Iβm so jealous. My son and daughter both caught them around here but I was in London so no chance of seeing them π‘.
Thankyou ... hope you had a great night in London ... π₯°π₯°π₯°
how beautiful. On Thursday night if you got out of San Antonio you could see the lights that are usually only available in places like Alaska. I didnβt get to see it but saw it on the news ππ
I think itβs called the Aurora Borealis (spelling π)
Yes you have the name very correct here we just call them the Northern Lights ...The Northern Lights is a very old Scottish song π
Fabulous photo BB. I couldn't get up at that time of the morning anymore, but well done for braving the cold and being sleep depraved to get such a wonderful shot. Thank you for sharing x
I have a jacket that heats up it's got a charging stand and switches to 3 different temps....Plus hubby made me a hot chocolate in my flask mug... It was quite a night a few people around taking pictures π

That's sounds really good and probably necessary in your dog walking early mornings. Aaaw nice to have a good hubby looking after you making hot chocolate x
Wow, great photo Blackbird, that sort of dedication from a truely fab photographer x
Thankyou β€οΈ so very kind of you π
Wow! Beautiful. We canβt get them where I am. Iβm really envious. Xx
Thankyou lovley π©·π§‘πππ
