Did you hear about the transvestite who wanted a night on the town?
He wanted to eat, drink and be Mary.
There is nothing wrong with sex on tv- as long as you don’t fall off.

I dont even know what this means but have you considered that there may quite possibly out of our huge membership be trans people on the forum and reading this?
I have trans friends and they would be appalled if I didnt protest about this.
Calm down Jean, you know our Iris is a lovely lady and would never wish to offend anybody. She just has a giant book of one liner jokes probably written many years ago when the world was a less PC friendly and sensitive place. Please cut my mum a little slack. 😊😻xx
Thank you for bringing a smile Iris. Have a lovely day. Xxxx👍😘
We will have to agree to disagree on this. Basically for me it's about not 'othering' minorities, whichever ones. Lots of jokes do precisely that. Comparing this ones to jokes about old people isnt comparing like with like. There are a lot of us oldies and it's a state that, unless illness, poverty, war etc intervenes, we will all attain.
Im not particularly PC (which is a term frequently used to take down someone you disagree with, though I know you didnt mean it that way Mike, but generally it is). Im just aware that this forum is for everyone.
But this was a joke about the play on words not about a person. Change Mary to Joan or whatever wouldn’t be funny anymore.
Your still ranting with them capital letters lol i think gay and trans people have heard an awful lot worse than that music hall type one liner and i am absolutely sure they have the strength of character to laugh it off as old fashioned stereotypical tyoe thinking from the past.
One lunged midget Ski's and a cat with a wonky ear and twisted spine, who i now call Casticus articuless.
xx
Happy to change the capitals Mike. They were for emphasis, not to shout.
I was just replying to a comment which seems to have gone:
Yes its just wordplay and I didnt say it was offensive. The word I am thinking of is - inappropriate.
In mentioning Scottish and Irish people - well the negative characteristics mentioned are actually stereotypes which while people may often laugh them off, many more just find them tedious.
A trans friend just said to me that if you were well established in your trans identity then that joke would likely not feel so bothersome. If you were less confident, struggling to make sense of who you are, thinking about transitioning, or perhaps had just been bullied (which happens a lot) then it might feel quite difficult.
🤣🤣🤣Xxx
Thank you for the joke , I think the the world was a much happier place before it went over the top with people trying more PC than the other person
