I have had letter from work re returning 1st July and it looks like I will have to as had no update advising i have to stay at home. Worried sick.

We should hear something this week Damon. Scotland and Wales have extended the date. One to the end of July, the other to the end of August.

I would expect England to do the same.

It might be an idea to contact your employer and let them know that it expected that shielding will be extended.

I am off work (adult social care) but not shielding. I believe your workplace has to ensure 2 meter social distancing which I dont think is possible for you? Your workplace should complete a risk assessment on you which you are entitled to see.

Do you have anyone you can take advise from? A union maybe?

No union no one it's a small nursing home. Work relying on government guidelines and so far there isnt any

Try not to worry till you have GP s advice.

I would also suggest contacting you GP, go through your concerns, your doctor can easily write you a sick note so that you may continue shielding.
