I presume you have saved the file to the hard drive and it is a filename.bmp .

You need to convert it to filename.jpg.

Go to this website:

convertfiles.com/convert/im...

The instructions are there for you. Once you have converted it to filename.jpg you can then upload it here in the same way that you would a photo.

That's a beautiful moth Blackbird and thanks for posting it. This a similar moth but the one I saw was a darker more vibrant red. It was all red with a thin long black stripe down the right outer edge. The left wing had the same but except it wasn't quite at the outer edge as there was a very thin red line there.. There were no red or black spots on it either. I guess it could be a variation? x

There are lots of variations on their patterns if you google you will see plenty and might find the one your cat had and your welcome hope you find it I know it can be annoying when you know you have saw something and it's hard to find again so just type cinnabar moths we have been getting them over from Asia and Europe due to the increasing hot weather we have been getting I get a lot of them around the garden 💜💜

I had one of these in my garden about two weeks ago, my son and his partner were doing my pots, we all looked in awe, my son looked it up and we got Cinnabar moth. Beautiful. X
