Still the best place to get advice.

The boy stood on the burning deck

Coughing and gasping "Flipping heck."

"I think I'm going to breath my last

If don't do something very fast".

He had a badge with a big red balloon

That he had found in the Captain's room.

What's this he asked in consternation?

"Is it the British Lung Foundation?"

"Yes," he heard his mate intone,

As he handed the lad his mobile phone.

"Ring this number and ask for advice",

The lad didn't need telling twice.

The lady answered with this useful tip,

"First, get off that ****** ship!!"

Thank you

I'm afraid it's a recycled one from last year. I'm having trouble finding anything to laugh about just now. No doubt I will once I get about a bit more. 😉

Good afternoon Mr.D and you understand how good your rhymes are, when as you say yourself, its one from last year! Nevertheless it made me and everybody else laugh .....😄😃😄...... so job done!

I think we are all keen to get outside ,doing what we want and when we want to do it, lol😂. I have been coping not too badly, apart from not being able to visit my lovely dad in the care home but apart from that, I'm just about able to keep myself busy. I know you are longing to venture out with Midge and the 🚐 campervan girls and I'm sure it's not going to be much longer and we'll be FREE 😂😂😷😂😂. Hang on in there Mr.D !!!🐿🌈

I can see the people on the BLF helpline printing your poem and putting it on their notice board .

You always manage to keep me guessing ....those punch lines get me every time . A talent , Don .

Nice one, Don.

When I was at high school I remember having an alternative set of words for this poem. Unfortunately can’t remember them apart from ‘the boy stood on the burning deck eating a ......,.... roll’

Hope you and Midge are good

X

Love it, Don. Needed a laugh. 😂😂

The girl stood on the quayside

her nostrils all a quiver,

she sneezed once, she sneezed twice

and then began to shiver.

Is that a cold you've got there love?

The old salt asked politely.

No, she croaked its Coronavirus

and my breathing is troubling me slightly.
