Know the feeling our next door but one loves her garden and she cant be bothered to wait to go to tip so she has bonfires at least twice a week never thinks of her close neighbours she knows what condition I have as she lost her husband to same the same thing and knows little one next door is asthmatic. There are some selfish people

So selfish. Some people are so inconsiderate.

People these days are very selfish, you can see that with this virus some not taking any notice of the rules. When we moves in neighbours used to have bbq once in blue moon have family friends around, nowadays people use bbq everytime the sun's out and lit it more then once in a day, makes it difficult when to put your washing out!!

Yes there's lots of selfish people around isn't there and it's society that made them that way!

You'd think she would understand as her husband got the same as you..I always go to the tip, bonfires shouldn't be allowed my neighbours in the past had one and it got out of control I come home from work to find my hedge burned to nothing!! The fire got very close to are house!

Report it to your council as this comes under nuisance neighbours. First though keep some records of it. x

One fire is not a problem legally. If it's regular and reported, it is classed as a nuisance and can be stopped.

I do sympathise with you. It’s always tricky dealing with these issues when it comes to next-door neighbours. I don’t like bbq’s myself but have gone along to some family ones in the past and put up with it. Seems like they’re acting unreasonably, as you have only asked to be forewarned and haven’t complained in any way. Best thing is to just shut the windows anyway when they have the bbq and leave it at that. If they need you to take in a parcel from the postman or any little favours that normal considerate neighbours do, well, you know what to do...

That would definitely be a no to there parcels! I never done a BBQ I have no interest in cooking that way ,I don't understand why people have them all the time, they used to be social thing.nowadays people use them instead of cooker.Hopefully there move soon.
