What about people who are shielding?
The shielding is advisory only not compulsory, but in my view it would be rather dangerous to ignore it if you have had the letter.
This Coronavirus is extremely communicable, you only need to touch a public object with your hand and then wipe any sweat from your forehead or face with your hand and bingo you could get infected.
Shielding was never compulsory, just advice for the extremely vulnerable. You can go out if you wish.
As the others have said, shielding not compulsory but Pete and I are staying safe at home. Why risk it? Xxx
There are now several of us survivors from Covid-19 infections here, I would suggest you ask them whether it is worth the risk.
Thank you sassy59, I myself am a Covid-19 survivor, and with my asthma difficult to control I am susceptible to infections, along with my other underlying health conditions, makes me very vulnerable. Thank you for everyone's suggestions, thoughts and advice, it's clear to me it's not worth risking going outdoors. Stay safe everyone
I had a text from NHS saying stay in till 20th June, so that will be the 12 weeks. I plan to do that x
