There is one thing I miss the most
As a result of getting old
Having a quick shower
Without having to be told
In and out a fast rub down
And ready to face whatever
Hot or cold was all the same
I didn't mind the weather
Now it must be highly planned
With everything in it's place
The last thing that I have in mind
Is any sort of race.
Gone are all those madcap days
Dancing naked in the rain
Showering used to be such fun
Now it's just a pain!
You've done it again Don, it could be me not just you in that shower!

Showering shouldn't be so hard
For such as our dear resident bard
i am pretty sure that we all can help
Though possibly he may start to yelp
As we rinse him down with a garden hose
From the top of his head to the end of his toes
Our Don will sparkle and feel so clean
But he will scowl at us and think us mean
Midge come here it's your turn now we cried
But being a wise old dog she had run off to hide. 
Brilliant rhyme that Skis. Terrible idea though and I doubt I'll see Midge again till dinnertime. 🙄
Know what you mean Don, position the chair, angle the spray, shower gel in the right position, and don't forget the towels and long handled brushes. I think I'll have a lie down first, just to get me breath back. Sorry it's not in verse, I can only do one thing at a time. 🙄😘

Good morning Mr.D and just how true is your rhyme - I mean, its so true for many of us lung buddies. There's probably quite a few activities/chores/etc. that when we think how its all changed. Good to know I'm not the only person who has to have a methodical attention to detail approach to having everything in arms reach and it's almost like a countdown list 📝 beforehand like you said about taking a 🚿 shower.
Good to have a reality check so thank you Mr.D 🌈🐿💕
I didn't realise how many rhymes I've posted relating to showering until I saw the list of 'related posts' listed on the right of the screen. I suppose it is the most hazardous job we have to do (most of us anyway) when we are old and living alone.

Oh yes and lets not forget the girls:- Midge is perfection unless she chooses to roll over on top of foxes 💩💩💩!!! The Campervan girls are really letting the side down a bit but bearing in mind they ensure the motorhome isn't a stollen vehicle statistic, they have a free pass on the 🚿 showering side. 🌈🐿💕
Midge is due another session in the sink, that's one of the agreed conditions of sharing my bed (or me sharing her bed as she seems to regard it) and being predominately white it keeps her sparkling. 😊 The girls in the campervan have been left to their own devices and are free to use the felicities, but I haven't heard any splashing about in there. 🤔
I would highly recommend a bubble bath to relax no standing room allowed dogs allowed too X
I would love to have my bath back but I had it taken out to accommodate a big shower cabinet when my wife was very ill. I also had a stair lift installed which I have kept thinking I might need it myself some day. I now wish I had kept the second handrail which I had to remove to fit the lift, which is now just a freight-carrier. You win some, you lose some. 🤷♂️x

I know,since my health detioriated,I have to have everything ready,as suggested by pulmonary rehab. The best tip she gave was to lay all your clothes out the night before. Stay safe.
