Passing the time.

My Husband and I painted my Granddaughter's playhouse yesterday as it was cloudy here .Brightened the garden up as it was plain old Brown. It's the shed and wooden bench next. Hope this Lockdown ends soon as running out of paint lol. Feels like we are by the Beach with our own Beach hut lol well I can dream. Keep safe my lovely friends xSheila. 💕🌈🕶🌞

I am pleased with it. So different from the brown colour it was. I can see it from my kitchen window and it's so pleasant to look out on. The colours are Sea Green and Lavender. So many colours to choose from thesedays. Cant wait to see your shepherds hut .take care Sheila x🌈🌞

I’ve just googled shepherd’s hut. Has yours got wheels and made of corrugated iron? The only one I’d heard of was in The Archers, it had a chimney I think. Bet the children love it.

Our hut is made of wood and has a corrugated roof. It’s very sweet and we commissioned it at a steam fair a couple of years ago. The kids all love it.

The wheels are fake but look good. Xxxx

That’s great. C’mon, we need a photo! I thought this must be an English thing but when I looked on Wikipedia the first photo of a shepherd’s hut was from Loch Awe, (wish I could just take a drive there right now), so every day’s a school day right enough.

That is so lovely. It's good you are still finding things to do. I've practically finished cleaning the house from top to bottom, enjoyed some simple gardening and sitting in it to get some vitamin D. I have to admit the novelty of being able to accomplish lots of household tasks is beginning to wear off.

When the time is right your grand daughter will love her freshly painted play house.

My Granddaughter lives here with us and her Mum . She is 12yrs old now so needed to update. We have emptied it of all her unwanted toys so now it's apparently her Den lol. She is missing her friends, when this nightmare is over they can come and join her in het new Den.x🌞🕶

That's certainly forward planning and looking to the future. Difficult at times but vital to recognize we will have a future to look forward to.

I have a friend who has a daughter of the same age. She, like all the other young people are missing their friends so much. I didn't think I'd ever say this but... technology!. they are so fortunate to have a tablet to keep in touch with friends Take care

Thank you beautiful Carolina. Bet you are missing your family in Spain. Trying to pass the time. I painted the easy bits sitting on a stool most of the time. Anything at eye level is ok as dont like bending or stretching 😱 leave the hard parts for Gary. Well I chose the colours so that was a big decision as I am a very indecisive person lol. Yes I do get breathless if I do too much. Learnt how to slow down

My daughter goes out every morning walking does 14000 steps at least . I tried it walking back a d fore on my decking. Didnt quite match hers but got to 60 steps before stopping 😤😤😤😤 so pleased you get to keep in touch with your family lots of love xSheila 🌈💕👍

She loves it .she lives here with us so is now planning what to put inside. Already has WiFi and tv . Passes the time and I want her to have happy memories of this dreadful time .I have dug out all my old photos of when we lived in India ,Yemen ,Sri Lanka etc saw a lot of poverty. Showing Darcy how fortunate she is as those countries the children were begging on the streets .she is grateful for what she has and it has made her such a loving young lady.

Yes I do miss my days out around the shopping centres. I havent done that for 7weeks now as I was unwell for a few weeks then when I recovered I was put on total Lockdown. I can see the difference not able to go out and walking around the decking is not doing it for me. I get bored so only manage a few steps whereas out shopping I enjoy the walking. Saving a bomb though as not buying clothes lol..I think we will all appreciate our freedom after this is over and be grateful for everything. I have started painting my Old charm furniture now. Upcycling I believe it is called. Will put some photos on when finished. Kerp safe x8💕🌈🕶
