I have been experiencing some uncontrolled coughing and feeling of shortness of breath when I talk and laugh. I have had palpitations, fatigue and weakness in my upper arms for about six months. It is uncomfortable to breath when I lie flat on my back. I was diagnosed with mitral valve regurgitation in my twenty's but have not been treated. I am now 46. I also had a spontaneous pneumothorax when I was 20. I was wondering if my current symptoms might mean the valve disease has gotten worse and I might have blood leaking back into my lungs. Any feedback is greatly appreciated as I am unable to afford medical treatment unless absolutely necessary. Thank you

Oh my that's sounds terrible, I don't know where you based but I would call a helpline in your country to get some answers, I mean that you really need some help with your symptoms. I hope you can get some help, I wish you all the best that you can sort it out and can get the help you actually urgent need!! 💐
You need to see a doctor. 6 months is a long time to have been having problems.
No one on the forum is able to diagnose the cause of symptoms, we are just a community of people with lung conditions supporting each other.
This must be so hard for you having to prioritise funds, but do get professional medical advice as it really does sound necessary after so long with symptoms.
Good luck and try to keep us posted so we can support you too.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to encourage me. I will seek medical advice as soon as I am able. God bless you all and keep you safe.
