Brilliant. Independence is what it’s all about - we have so much taken away. Not received my letter as yet - I’m even beginning to think I’m a fake as I whack in my IVs. It’s a junkies paradise here!

Haven’t had a text even. IVs going fine thank you Littlepom. CF nurse just been. She will write me a letter if I need it for shops, although my daughter has stocked me and my sister in York well yesterday. Next week my end IV consultation with con will be by telephone but the nurses will come out. She did say my line looks good, especially to say it has been in for a long time. Because she feels I am ‘so hygienic’ she would be happy if it came to it to leave it for 2 weeks. They are having to do all their work in the community and are so very busy.

She did say her patients are handling things so well because this hyper-alert is our normal. So there is mutual appreciation of the situation we are in from patients and respiratory teams.

Again apologies to soul. It’s good to hear that all going to plan. I hope that it keeps you well for longer. It would be a good idea to go onto the gov uk corona virus- extremely- vulnerable website and register yourself. Once you are flagged up you should get the extra help for this group. The online supermarkets have been informed as to who these people are are supposed to be giving preference to this group. From another post on here I believe that Sainsbury’s have begun this.

Yes I had to tick no when I registered. If you don't get text or letter by tomorrow do get in touch with your GP who are supposed to be giving the information.

Did that too hun and they said you should definitely be in the shielded group but I think Gov probably gather it electronically. I don’t visit the GP much as there is nothing they can give me for pseodo but they should have records from the hospital.

I believe they should all be out by 29th.

I spoke to my GP this morning (protesting about the nurse in the treatment room not wearing a mask "as it's up to us, there's a fancy protocol for you) and she said the letters are coming from the government and while they are recognising immuno-compromised people, they are not doing very well with copd. And of course this is the experience of lots of us!
