Anyone having trouble getting this? For the second time running my chemist hasn't had it in stock at the time requested. 😕
Symbicort 200/6: Anyone having trouble... - Lung Conditions C...
Symbicort 200/6
No consolation but i think pharmacys are having problems with the supply chain on many items Don,my foodlink supplements are several days late with no indication of when they may be delivered and i imagine they are both overworked and short on a lot of gear.
Keep as well as possible MP.
Grasshopper and a fatter cat x
I realise that young Grasshopper, but out of the shed-load of stuff I get this is the only item that has twice not been available. Even a dumb old Duffy like myself sees that as significant.
I tend to get the same problem with my spiolto respimat inhaler Don,maybe because it is not so widely prescribed as some of the others and maybe yours falls into the same group?
I had just 3 items, out of my normal 13, on Friday morning, I ordered them at 5:30 am and approved at 12:30pm on the Monday. Normally it is all ready the following day, they were very good in that the remaining 10 items were delivered to my door at 3 pm the same day, having set up delivery. So yes, somewhere along the line there is a problem in the supply chain.
I can see the possibility that some people getting an advance prescription could be causing it. Once the numbers of those newly self isolating levels out, things might return back to normal.
I don't really need to worry as half my replacement foods are dependent on milk to mix it with and being that i am rapidly running out of milk problems solved lol
Have you still not managed to get milk?? I heard that help the aged were sorting some home deliveries for people unable to get out to the shops, give them a ring and see if they can help you, other than that give one of your neighbours a knock, you cant leave it until you run out completely, I will be a nervous wreck x
Don't worry about me irene,i am watering down my remaining milk supply and doubling up on my water based food replacements so i will survive long enough to give you at least a giggle a day lol xx
I had an email saying medication generally is in short supply in the UK and to reorder in plenty of time. Here things are starting to get back to normal after 14 days of fairly strict regulations, schools will soon be going back and things are expected to resume as normal. As it is there have been no shortages of anything in the shops. I dont understand why there seem to be so many shortages of so many things in the UK. I hope you get your medications soon Don.
This is the only one I’ve had trouble with HH. It’s the most expensive of all the inhalers I believe and there’s the danger of efforts being made to replace it with a cheaper one. UK shortages are mainly caused by panic buyers. Once their cupboards are overflowing and their credit cards empty supplies will catch up.
If it's a prescribed medicine the hoarders won't have much opportunity to gobble up supplies in the UK and there has been an already acknowledged shortage in the meds supply chain long before even the dreaded brexit let alone the bug from hell.
I was referring to food hoarding in reply to HH as I'm sure you know. 😛x
Medicine is my food x
I'm sorry you are having trouble getting milk for it. I'll feel awful now picking up the milk from my doorstep every mornings. 😟x
Being as it hasn't even been delivered yet don the milk to go with it is fairly irrelevant now, must away and finish milking Scruffy for when It arrives.
No I've had no problems getting mine up to now the last Symbicort 20/6 I got was last week.
Sorry to hear you are having problems Don, perhaps you could explain this to your gp and ask could you have one on standby x
I'm not having problems, Irene, having got my prescriptions in early expecting delays. I am worrying about them changing my inhaler for something else . It took years to finally find one that enabled me to live a near normal life and I've heard of so many being changed on grounds of cost. It's such a long time since I saw my GP he's probably retired. He did promise me that he wouldn't until after I died but he might have got fed-up waiting. 🙄
Ha! At least you are seeing the bright side Don, put your foot down and dont let them change it x
Hello Don
I got mine first go at the end of last week. My trouble is it’s taken the chemist 3 attempts to get my 2 months’ worth of hydrocortisone tablets. My GP changed me from symbicort to a cheaper inhaler about 2 years ago but it didn’t work as well for me so I insisted they change it back and they did. Really hope you get sorted soon.
Thank you. These sort of hiccups are to be expected I suppose. I just get paranoid about the Symbicort because it has served me so well when many other inhalers didn't.
