Can anyone recommend a online company for prescription delivery please that they have personal experience of.

I've looked online and there are several but difficult to know which ones are going to be reliable etc. My prescriptions are not all at the same time unfortunately. My local pharmacist has been inundated and is refusing to add people to the delivery list. Just hoping some of you out there will use some services and can recommend them please. I did have a leaflet forever ago about and NHS one but foolishly didn't keep it.

I have used my local Well Pharmacy for 4 years and just set up the free delivery last Friday (to self isolate). Delivery of the balance of short items was on the same day.

Although that leaflet was plastered with the NHS logo it was from a national company offering the service not the NHS. I've no idea what they are like but I don't like companies who try to con the public in that way.

Agreed Don.

That's one reason the public dont realise how far the NHS has been privatised, because the private company staff all have the NHS logo prominently displayed on their uniform.

Thank you Don I hadn't realised that - I will keep an eye out for that.

Hi sassy59 - are they part of Lloyds Pharmacy? And if so have you found them reliable. Our local Lloyds is the one being tricky unfortunately so didn't know if the online bit would be ok?

I think they are and due to be delivered tomorrow. I’ll try and remember to let you know. Lloyds themselves wanted £35 for delivering Pete’s prescription for 6 months. Xxx

Gosh that's bonkers - I just don't get it. I was told to send a taxi to collect it!!! Thanks sassy59 x

£35 that’s outragious profiteering. So glad I have a local family run pharmacist - couldn’t wait to get away from Lloyds. I just phone my order in (because I have a code from the surgery as my meds are hospital directed and have to be ordered). They are done electronically and delivered, always cheerfully and free.

I am so sad to hear people are having so many problems getting their medication.

Hopefully from what the Gov said yesterday there should be some provision for the Shielded Group, but the devil will be in the detail.

Yes it is terrible cof. I loathe Lloyds but they’re connected to the surgery. We do have another pharmacy not far away who offer a free service so we may try that.

I’m learning lots about the society we live in I can tell you.

Stay safe. Xxxx

Wish you luck sassy. Lloyds don’t deserve custom imo.
