Was talking to lung doctor about year had AND how it’s disgrace my GPS won’t give my antibiotics given my sats can go for good to bad in mins
Was talking about how I should have them and gp should be giving me them especially when they say I have virus ANYWAY she said we do not give them to people with virus
So I said every infection I have had is virus that as turned bacteria
Then I said so how’s that work with coronavirus then ARE doctors not giving them antibiotics as it’s just virus.
Anyway she said she would contact GP and tell them given my sats can bottom out within mins they must see me and cat me ax high risk
Would preferd my emergency antibiotics steroid’s really given gp history
Was or seemed business as usual BUT did get feeling from cloak dagger nurses was something going on never wanted to disclose ALSO when I went to see doctor GOSH she grabbed my hand to shakes it
Anyway did as I had protection on MAINLY my antibacterial barrier hand sanitizer
Viruses don’t respond to antibiotics JAS so that much is correct. You should be able to have rescue meds though as infections can br one bacterial which will respond to antibiotics.
I’m hoping things will improve and your GP will treat you much better. Take care and stay safe. Xxxx
Hi Jeff, We should all have our emergency packs of abs and for you, steroids. Whilst it is true that abs can't cure a virus, all of my bronch exacerbations start after a virus. The virus seems to encourage the bacteria to breed. So many people don't understand that. I always try to get through the virus without abs but can tell when a week or so after the start of the virus things change. I am sure that you can recognise this change too. I can't understand why your consultant did not write a very simple letter to your GP telling them to make sure that you alwats have a rescue pack. I do hope that this gets sorted for you.
