I no longer mop floors as I had the same problem (also with all cleaning chemicals), so invested in a steam cleaner which has been great for hard floors with the bonus of being dry in seconds.

Just recovering from mopping my kitchen floor, so thought I would have a look at the BLF site. Don't usually use mop and bucket , but I had a go this time .

I have a steam cleaner , but I rarely use it anymore.

I bought a microfibre pad and mop , and microfibre dusters that you can use slightly damp. Going to use that mop on bathroom floor now.

Same here but with a spray attachment that allows a small amount of liquid to be put on the floor as you mop.

Is it te perfume that gets you...? A lot of us have that problem. The stea cleaner sounds good but for only a s mall floorspace such as i have is not the answer. I just use cif cream cleaner , it has perume but not a bother. Or Method have a range of all natural cleaners . Always check ingredients for perfume bleach and ammonia. All these are lethal. I do use a small amount of vinegar with cleaners and in washing to soften rinsing water. Talking of perfume why is hand sanitiser perfumed too. Goes in everything these days.

I use a steam cleaner, but just purchased some anti allergy cleaner from amazon, its called Alkimi, I am finding it really good and it's not bothering me like most cleaning products.

Check it out see what you think x

Hello Alice70,

I wondered if you have looked at Allergy Uk's web page as they have products online that may be useful for people with respiratory conditions or allergies?

If not here is the link:- allergyuk.org/get-help/prod...

You can apply filters such as 'cleaning products' to narrow down your search.

I do hope this helps but please let me know if we can help you further.

Thank you and take care,

Marie

I just use Fairy washing up liquid when washing floors.

Use the smallest amountyou can use.

It’s better if you add the product to the water instead of the other way round.

Recently I used a dah of fairy liquid with as dash of vinegar. As we used to in the good old days!

It cleans my quarry tiles and the. Vinyl tiles in the bathroom.its cheaper as well.
