Coronavirus
Oh dear that’s a shame Christina.
I’ve been washing my hands often and now they’re quite dry and sore so I’m using the disposable gloves now. Xxxxxx
Maybe try this Sassy: pour a little oil (I use olive oil) into the palm of one hand, add about a quarter/half teaspoon of sugar then rub hands together thoroughly then rinse. Afterwards I also usually use a wee drop of foam hand wash so they don't feel greasy and hands then feel so soft.
I've done this for years and it works a treat. Hope it helps you too.
That doesn't sound right to me - it's a complete misunderstanding of the coronavirus risk. The risk is a sliding scale based on age and any existing health conditions; you don't suddenly become vulnerable at 70, nor are you likely to be more contagious (because you're more likely to know you've got it). The logical ban would be children, who would more likely be asymptomatic carriers.
Surely this should be an advisory matter, not a complete ban?
I don’t think it is about catching it per se, rather that the over 70s are more likely to need hospitalisation if they get it. Therefore it does make sense to ask over 70s to stay away from crowded places and even stop at home to try to keep the demand on the hospitals down.
