Coronavirus
Sorry but i have to say the truth. Yes i would be worried because you can't trust people to self quarantine at home.
It’s a worry Dchad but good hand hygiene and not touching your face should help. People have to work so what else can you do really? Xxxx
I have watery eyes so its impossible not to touch my face Sassy. I keep wondering what to do about this. I have tried all sorts of eye drops but they dont work amd rub my eyes all the time x
Can you use a tissue to dab your eyes or a soft cotton wool pad, a separate one for each eye of course.
It’s difficult not to touch your face as I do it too. We have a friend who had Sjorens which means her eyes are dry and sore so she also rubs them.
Take care Irene xxxxx
You have my sympathy Izb1 . My eyes water constantly and despite taking an allergy pill they still weep so like you I'm constantly having my fingers by my eyes trying to clear the tears so I can see. I'm trying to stop myself doing that and am using a tissue instead on my eyes ... but it's hard to remember! 😭
Its a blinkin nuisance Gladwyn, I think I will do as Sassy suggests and get tested for this. Wonder if its the opticians that do the testing x
I think they would refer you to an eye consultant ... can't think what they are called lol. I have seen one for years and have had both cataracts done and other problems helped by him but with this weepy problem they don't really want to know as apparently it's tear duct blockage which can be tricky to clear and my vision is too poor to risk doing any op. It's also a
Cost thing I believe and an age thing! 😀this is the first year I have gone 12 months without an appointment.
Thanks for the info Gladwyn. I have rheumatoid arthritis and think it is connected to this auto immune disease. I may ring the rheumy nurse and see what she says x
I would think a lot less than worrying about being killed in a traffic accident on the way home.
I would be worried, every single winter without coronavirus.
Lots of good advice already but what do your employers say, ask them if you should be worried and what is the official line. Masks? Frequent hand washing breaks? Is there a Health and Safety at work issue I wonder
You are well enough to work, so that's good. Breathe through your mouth ALL the time - that will mean talking less! Relax your breathing so it's gentle.
Masks are more problematic unless you actually have the virus.
Don't touch your face.
Salt gargle daily.
I don't know what you do, but if there is a job, like shelf stocking which is one with less contact with staff and customers, ask your boss if you can do that.
Use gloves.
Just be vigilant , or give up your job.
Very worried 😷
I think a hand sanitiser should be on all tills especially whilst this coronavirus is around, you are dealing with the pubic all day , ask your employer about this x
When I did my pulmonary rehab we were told when in a supermarket to always breathe through the nose and out through the mouth to minimise picking up infections. Not sure how feasible this is when you are working there all day!
Quite. You pick up things your customer has just handled
Hope all goes well x
