Normal terms of copd I can understand

Hi all I had a heart attack boxing day following the attack on the 27th I was booked in for a test for lung function that came back copd. The result was significant elite active copd can any one shed light on what it actually means. Iv been given 2 inhalers for that.. Now I'm under other meds for now heart disease.. So iv has a hectic 6 weeks lol. Just have no idea of the meaning of the title to the copd I have.. I've called doctors receptionist and ut doesn't state except what I have lready stated. Any help appreciated

Hello I’ve never heard of that terminology before. My husband has COPD but elite active is a new one on me. Sorry. Xxx

Me neither.. I have a appt in 3 weeks to see gp and will be asking what it means as rather confused lol..

Hello Shezncol and welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear about your heart attack. It must have been very frightening for you. I hope you are now recovering from that.

"Significant elite active copd" - That's a new one on me too! Sounds as though you've ended up with a classier version of copd than the rest of us :) One of our knowledgeable members may be along soon with an explanation, or you could call the BLF Helpline (03000 030 555) on Monday with your question. I'm sure our expert nurses would have an answer for you.

Lol Annie that made me chuckle.. Iv seen stage 1 to 4 heard of them but never what was said to me and at the time I never thought to ask so now very confused... Thankyou for your lively msg . Hoping some one at some point has heard a similar wording it would seem all of Google hasn't as iv tried lol x
