Not the first time I have seen spots off red blood in my sputum but its been happening more frequent now. Is the weather being bitterly cold a contributory factor? I nebulise with saline solution. Any advice/comments/suggestions please.
Best wishes to all

I retired to Malta because cold weather really made my bronchiectasis much worse. If you then add any cold wind, I ended up looking like Michelin man.
Fortunately no blood to date but all I can suggest is wrapping yourself up with a scarf across your face whenever you go out. Generally look after yourself and try not to get stressed (I've found that to be another cause). I found Jackmans menthol sweets to help a lot with the cough as well as lemon and ginger tea from Lidl.
It's not uncommon with bronchiectasis. Sometimes caused by Aspergillus I believe. Of course you need to get back to doc to check it out but could be anything. Keep some to show doc.
Hi, I had to stop the saline nebulisers a few years back, haven’t gone back to them, as they made my lungs bleed. I too have bronchiectasis + other lung related things! Maybe worth mentioning to your consultant. Joy x
I would make an appointment with your GP, telephone appointment or in person. My doctors always want to check things out if there is any sign of blood or pink in anything coughed up.
