Protein powders
I have tried two different ones in the past. They are milk based or mixed with milk so not suitable for everyone.
I did put on weight , which I needed to, and I have osteoporosis , but noticed no difference in my COPD / asthma.
I must admit I still have one packet in the back of the cupboard, not used .
Hi , well I have Bronchiectasis and last year I broke my knee , within weeks my legs resembled a chickens legs ! A fitness guru friend told me to drink protein powders to help build muscle as I don't eat much meat, but ,as with the above comment, I drank about 2/4 and it's also in the back of the cupboard! Anyway in a nutshell I'm told it does the job !
You could dry fortifying milk drinks and custard with additional powdered milk. A lot cheaper, and can be useful if you run out of milk anytime.
