Hi everyone, I hope you can help me. Is there anyone on the forum who suffers wIth bronchiectasis and developed neuropathy? I have had bronchiectasis for 6 years now and have nebulized colomycin for a number of years without stopping. I am worried thst the neuropathy is linked to medication. However I have recently read that there is a link between bronchiectasis and neuropathy. If you think you can help with any information I would be very grateful. Thank you.

I have the same problem. On Apixaban and diuretics for cardiovascular problems and spielto respimat inhaler for emphysema and Bronchiectasis. Very frequent peripheral neuropathy in right hand. Strangely never in left hand or feet.
Read recently , doctor writing at length in The Times so trustworthy, that it can be caused by low levels of vitamin B12. I have appointment with GP this pm. and intend to ask for test. Apparently deficit very common in elderly on low meat diet, to such an extent that vitamin injections may be needed as pills badly absorbed. I will let you know how GP reacts to my suggested self diagnosis.
Also read some time ago that some medicines are anticholinergic. I’m not clear what this means but think it is something to do with neural pathways. Google might define.
Thanks for replying to my post. I will go onto Google now and check this information out now. I will follow up any information to get to the bottom of this.
I have had various tests and my B12 is supposedly OK. I had a course of iron just a month ago. I would be grateful for any other information you come across.
