Janlyn1953 - do you have a respiratory consultant who specialises in bronchiectasis? If not, consider asking your GP to refer you. Do you have a good lung clearance regime? This is really important. Consultants who specialise in your conditions are usually found in university teaching hospitals. You need to keep on top of these infections because they can cause further lung damage. Many doctors don’t appreciate that the protocol for bronchiectasis is two weeks antibiotics.
