You have to slow down and stop when you feel breathless. Remember to breathe slowly in thro nose out thro mouth .we sometimes forget this and maybe walk too fast or not breathe properly .it can lead to a panic attack. Theres no rush so just take it easy x
Tommie you didn't mention if you use oxygen. I have to use a portable oxygen unit when I leave the house even though I am in the moderate range especially now that it is cold. Not sure if this is what you need but it is something to look into.
Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year!
Good morning tommix
I can’t walk far before becoming breathless, dizzy and my heart rate increases. When I do have to go out I use a stroller with a seat. Some can fold up so go in a car. Then if I get bad I can sit for a bit.
Hope you find something that works for you.
Wishing you a good Christmas and a healthier ,happy New year.
Does your chest always feel tight (untreated asthma)? Or do you feel like there is mucus that you can't cough up (knowing ways to help clear the mucus)?
Talk to your specialist if the meds you are taking how is not working for you. It took awhile to get the right combo of meds for me to feel like I had a life beyond this disease.
Eat as healthy as you can. If you are overweight, try to lose a few pounds. Exercise if you can, even if it's just walking around the house. If you are retired, take up a hobby that will give you alittle exercise. (I volunteer at the local animal shelter and I quilt). I also have a stationary bike that I have built up to using 20-30 minutes a day.
Lower your stress level. It wasn't until I retired from a stressful job (but a job that I loved and put before my health) that helped me feel better.
Three years ago, we moved to an area of the country that is less polluted and into a newly built house. Where we lived before was a factory area and previous older homes that may have undetected mold issues.
