I'm a member of a forum

Which is very good to me

They keep reading all my stuff

Though awful it may be

It helps me to keep going

And to make my problems pass

Although I'm sure a few of them

Think me a pain in the ass

But bashing on regardless

Is what it's all about

So I shall keep on writing

At least it costs you nowt

Poetry in motion Don

That is what you are

Everything is touched upon

Be it near or far

You simply are the very best

But that I think you know

You’re our Don, forget the rest

Because we love you so.

Well done Don! 🥰💕💖

Another wonderful one Cap'n - just donning my proofreaders hat again, would you consider adding an extra " . " to the three full stops you already have otherwise it doesn't really rhyme . . . . just like that really? xx

in reply tomajji

Are you sure you picked up the right hat Margaret? I stopped bothering with punctuation some time ago. I have filled in the missing word. It seemed pretentious thinking ass was a inappropriate word these days.

lol Cap'n I was assuming a B and an M was what you were considering . . . . .

So our master thinks he's a pain in the arse

But we just think he's a touch of class

We wouldn't want a gent to propper

Say Scruffy cat and his grasshopper. :)

in reply toskischool

You realise rhyming class with arse reveals quite a lot about you? 😅

Hows midge .?

in reply toJaybird19

She is being a little ******. Last night I sat for ages pretending to eat very expensive Royal Canin Satiety dog food because she refuses to eat anything that I won't eat myself. This is a battle of nerves which could easily result in us both starving to death! 😠

Oh wow that was so cool like you aren’t as strict and stern as I imagine you to be but then I’ve seen pics of you cruising your van by the beach with a pup an a doll and think 🤔 maybe this guy is sort of a layed back professor type that spent a lot of time in college as a student then a teacher🤷‍♀️am I close?🤙🏼Is that a familiar gesture to you? Or 🏄‍♂️ I have shared the water with some really amazing surfers from UK but don’t know if it’s the same area as all you guys since geography and history are not my strong points. But I do love your work just don’t quit your day job😂😂 that is a joke it’s nothing offensive unless you intend it to be. Please forgive my ignorance in not knowing what kind of humor y’all find acceptable and what you consider offensive

Sorry Sandyeggo you are a long way off the truth about me, apart from the van, the pup and the knitted doll (now been joined by her sister). You are going to have to read a lot more of my poems/rhymes to get a better picture. You will find I’m more likely to offend than be offended.😎

I can’t retrieve that much of your past work to put it together except you like to eat and whatever the heck cottage pie is you seem to be a big fan. If you’re in Southern CA,USA this Thursday be sure to stop by my house where there will be a turkey, candied yams,, green bean casserole, mash potatoes and then there will be mine- the healthy food, close your eyes this might hurt: banana, pineapple, green apple, blueberry, raspberries. No added sugars or carbs( unless I commit sin and put whipped cream on top! Plain yogurt would be the healthy choice. And then there will be a few of our kids in their mid and late 30’s, not too interested in them but they will bring my grand dogs and they will get to play like dogs are supposed to but they work and their dogs are alone all day. My girl McKinley is a large 75lb wolf-dog and highly trained, never alone, will let the little dogs jump all over her and bite her big fur until she’s had enough then she’ll snap in their direction to settle them down, their humans will freak out, I’ll remind them how it’s HER house and she’s never hurt them or any other but she will have her say. She just turned 10, she’s a licensed Assistance service animal an she’s gettin tired of the whole”My moms disabled so I have to walk right here so none of you clumsy humans bump into her” thing so I told her she could retire she rejected the idea. So go ahead tell me your story if I’m so far off✌🏻

in reply toSandyeggo

The chances of me being in Southern CA, USA next Thursday are somewhat remote, Sandyeggo , but if I am I shall most certainly stop by your house, thank you. I’m sure that whilst munching some of that excellent food there will be plenty of time for me to tell you all about myself. Until then my very best wishes to you, your family and your dog McKinley. 👍🤜🤛

It’s no good pretending to eat the special dog food Don, Midge isn’t daft, you have to really eat it. It might be very tasty and nutritious!
