I mentioned it to HH in the thread that start that pathway. It didn't go too well. He had heard of the CRP check and was surprised that some areas were offering it. He said that it would not give any indication of cancer cells which was what I was interested in, having lost a couple of old friends with bladder and postate cancer. They could have lived longer or at least have died of something less distressing if caught earlier. My doc looked as though he had more than a passing interest in the subject too. 😟
Well yes I can well understand your concern on that score, it is a shame about your friends, I have lost too many loved ones to cancer.......terrible terrible thing.
I understand that CRP check is to check the white blood cells which give an indication of a infection in your blood.....perhaps will be offered more widely in the future.
I can only assume as you are on your rescue pack that you have an infection of some kind, I hope you recover soon. Xxx
Yes the talk was about using it when deciding whether or not to use the rescue pack and I didn't bother asking about that since he didn't have the gear anyway. I knew I had an infection but delayed treating it hoping to test the check if he had the facility. Now I'm regretting doing that and seemed to have picked up a common cold to go with it.
But I've always preached that if you keep an active mind and apply it something other than your ailment you will heal so much quicker. So I'm sorry if the members find me rambling on even more than i did before for a while.
An astute observation Master Po plus with the added complication of broadband problems all of my services are running late today, off to search for the missing brown bin, they have all disappeared? x
Yes they're good for a change. I should get those less, sugar, lass fat , less salt, gluten free, vegetarian friendly and also contribute towards one of my five a day. And die happy? I don't think so. 😁
Mr Don! Great one again! Beans on toast huh...I never tried that! I will now! I like Shit on a shingle ( dried beef on toast with white sauce) Keep writing! Janet127
Heinz is not available in the local supermarkets. It wouldn't sell. It has to be bought at shops that specialize in foreign food or on Amazon. We have versions of it like beans in tomato sauce, but it is foul. 😮 Beans on toast is definitely not a Japanese thing so it's not popular. Although I love Heinz, I have to limit my intake due to the high level of sugar and sodium. But it's nice to have it as a treat. xx 😊
Tis one of my favourites Cap'n - grilled cheese on buttered toast smothered in Tesco (much nicer than Heinz) Baked Beans with a drop or two of Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce stirred in - that really does warm you up on a cold winter day. And then of course there's American style Baked Beans which are marvellous eaten cold in the summer . . . . now I am making myself feel hungry . . . .
Baked Beans were originally sold in the UK by Fortnum and Mason in 1901 as a luxury item. A large can would cost 9d (the equivalent to £2.15 by today's prices). The first can of British-manufactured Heinz Beanz was created in the Heinz factory in Harlesden in 1928.24 Oct 2017 - so ya not wrong Cap'n!
