Hi I've been asking a lot of questions lately as I have been unwell for a few weeks with the usual chest infections ,I would like to thank you all who answered me ,I do have another one to ask ,and this is does anyone ever cough ,and the sputum smell a bit like bleach ,sounds mad doesnt it

No, but if my coughed up sputum smells different, I know I've got to start treating an infection.

Haven’t had a bleach smell but have a mushroomy taste or old meat taste which for me means an infection x

Maybe you’ve been given the wrong antibiotics? Did you take in a sputum sample ? X

Had the results of sputum test this morning ,showing clear ,jet I still feel there is still something there ,I wondering now as I sent sputum test in while still on doxycycline has the doxycycline hidden any last bit of infection

I wonder. I have Bronchiectasis, what do you have? After many infections I now realise that the medical profession seem to base it on how you feel as well re if you need antibiotics. X
