That's where I'll be finding Midge when the cold weather comes. Currently she sleeps down stairs (I think my raucous coughing and frequent bathroom visits wore her down) and she comes to wake me at 6.30 prompt.
Mud hasn't been invented around here, Kitty, my house was built on sand which is bad for gardening but good for keeping things clean. I usually remember to close the bedroom door but its no no big problem if I forget. I'm also lucky in having a dog friendly cleaning lady looking after the laundry. 😁
Haha no trouble like that my parrot, just wants to play but there is the trays of the cage to clean out, fortunately her dodo's do not smell but can be rather dusty, so the daily rag is invaluable to collect it even though rather damp after a spray. No mud but there can be splintered chicken bones, less the marrow, which she scoops out first. A bl***y carnivore and she enjoys a little fish and hard cheese too. Where would we be without our pets?
Where indeed!🤔 Midge knows our routine better than I do, or at least remembers it better. If I do something out of sequence she sits and stares at me until I go back and do it right. My memory is deteriorating at an alarming rate and that aspect of her behaviour is becoming more and more useful to me. Added to that she is my ears when I take my hearing aids out.
Good afternoon Mr.D and firstly I have to apologise for being a day late in replying😕.
I'm siding with you and the fact that our pets can remember what we should/were doing and also being so protective is a huge comfort to us,I'd think you'd agree? Brain fog ,memory loss it's happening and I don't like it one little bit. So our Hazel is such a good girl and gives me a deep rumbling growl when I need to take my pills at night time. She learnt it by herself, just so clever and to think she had the most dire start in life one could only imagine!🐶.
Your Midge is such a 🌟 and she's just as popular as her master!!💖
Like the others Don your posts put a smile on my face. Lovely photo of Midge in a beautiful white bed. We have a Jack Russell called Rosie who really bosses us about, they do love routine and are very intelligent 🐕. Keep as well as you can and carry on with your great poems. Hugs Carole xx
I'm not sure that Midge shifting up would leave enough room, Dilly, but if you are volunteering to take over the getting up early, letting dog out and making breakfast, I'm sure some arrangements could be made. 😊
I despair of keeping our beds clean with Finlay & Lady. she can dive up onto the bed but Finlay can't manage it now. He's turning into a proper wee grumpy old man, He always barked at animals on the TV and it was funny when this tiny wee cavy flew at it but now he can spot an animal in the back of a scene which we don't even notice. He has also begun to take against men with beards, goodness knows what he thinks they have in the beards!! I get mad if the dogs get on my sheets it's bad enough that they mess the duvet cover or comforter but I can't stand dirty sheets. I love the pic of Midge he looks very comfortable xx
