Oxygen getting to the plane

Hello all I have Hypersensitivity pneumonitis and am on oxygen 16 hrs a day plus canisters for ambulatory. I note that certain airlines supply oxygen for the flight, but I would need to it get from airport to plane and same other end. I would arrange equipment hire for destination. I'm unsuitable for the pulse concentrater as I need 3 or 4litre and constant. My sats drop too low otherwise. Is there anything I can hire this end to get me on and off that plane...or Eurostar......any help appreciated.

British Airways were pretty good but do check again if they still do it.

Good luck

Hi Cazza34, You can hire a portable oxygen concentrator from 'PureO2' which will put out 4lpm I think. Worth ringing them. It's a lot easier and much less hassle than organising cylinders. You will need your GP to sign a 'medical oxygen' consent form for all airlines regardless which costs about £25. Which ever airline you choose they will have a 'special assistance' page where you can contact them for a form which can be posted or e mailed to you.
