I think and certainly hope that most of us here will be screened for cancer, as long as they are honest with their consultant with family and their own history. I was listed as a high cancer risk upon diagnosis of COPD (Emphysema). I had 3 monthly CT Scans and a couple of PET Scans as a result. Sure enough one of the dozen lung nodules I had, developed into NSCL cancer, which meant it was detected quite early.

In a way that was an incidental finding. I was one of those people that never saw a doctor, for over 55 years, I was always fit and healthy. In fact had I not developed COPD then the cancer would have gone unnoticed and not have presented symptoms until it was too late to treat.

And does this mean you've been successfully treated for the LCa? Hope so!
