I tried to get the bamboo filters I have to order them.last night at 1230 and 330 am the thing that lives in its room sprayed I think Lysol it woke me up twice I barely slept.there is something seriously wrong with him.my landlady told me he lost his house and his wife left him and he suffers from severe depression and that's why he has been in room now for over 6 months.sister comes over to talk to him but nothing will get it to leave the room.think it's bi polar it goes out of its way to do things to bother me and I can't tell you how close I am to knocking its head off which will serve me no good.the other nutjob is waiting for more plug ins if he uses them I will be sleeping in my car.and I get along with him .I am telling u folks u have no idea what that thing that lives in its room is like.in my 58 years of life I have never seen anything like this.called a temp agency today about part time 2nd job they only do full time.i have to get out of this house somehow or I will either loose my mind or they will arrest me for beating the hell out of this thing.there is no talking to it I tried nicely it don't work.i have to live now a second at s time and somehow find something where I can live in peace.

Are there jobs boards online that you can use to look for part time work in your area?

I had a lodger some years ago that drove me and my husband to distraction even though he was "self contained" so I can appreciate how you feel. If you let them these things can take over your life. I wonder if you could take a more grown up stance than your roommate and focus on something pleasant like music or a hobby that will take your mind off it. Try and make an effort to ignore it, this is spoiling your life, you only have one! At least until you can make other arrangements. I feel for you but I think you may be over thinking this. Is your health good enough to take on some gardening locally. Perhaps just lawn mowing.

I fish all the time and my favorite thing is the outdoors.the other roommate ordered more plug ins and I told him I can't breathe that in every breath he threw it away and ordered organic ones there is only 1 safe one the others are all no good it's bamboo charcoal air filters that I now have to order and spend 25 dollars.this will never end so I made my mind up I am in the process of looking for a second job so I can live alone I have had it living with other people.its going to take time though nowadays even getting a part time job around here is the trying to win the lottery but I am determined to live in peace.

I'm sorry to be so blunt but I hate the way you refer to your housemate as " thing " and " it " you sound very condescending. As for him having Depression I suffer with Bipolar Disorder so I can relate to that as I also suffer with it . You obviously have no idea how serious a condition it is and when I was at my worse I spent many months not leaving my room. It doesn't take much to drive someone with serious mental health issues towards suicidal thoughts so show a bit more kindness and understanding.

My message to you is back off and stop thinking the World revolves around you and that everyone should adhere to your bidding. Don't like your situation then simple, find somewhere else to live and away from other people. It's quite clear you have issues relating to others and getting along with them. Empathy seems not to be your strong point.

He is an sob,he goes out of his way to upset other people, that's not depression that's just being an sob period.and you are right I am misanthropic it's amazing more people aren't if you look at human history.

No, that's someone suffering from bipolar disorder or similar and who has had quite a bit of misfortune in his life. He will be feeling a lot of emotions such as grief and anger. I've been there, made redundant after 27 years and unable to keep up mortgage repayments, lost my home and my partner left me for her boss. I'm on medication which I religiously take to control my illness and if left untreated when I'm not depressed and I am suffering suffering from mania I can fly in to rages over the slightest thing. Tread carefully because with your attitude towards people and especially him you could fall victim to some pretty explosive behaviour.

Reading previous posts of yours you seem to have a pretty healthy set of lungs compared too many that post here and I would suggest you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. You come across as the housemate from hell who wants people to obey your every request. Back off and leave the guy alone as from what I can make out you could easily trigger an unwelcome response. Stop making excuses for your own behaviour you come across as self centred and without compassion and very self opinionated.

I have tons of compassion just not for anyone who shows none.he goes out of his way to upset other people that's not depression that's just being an sob.as far as him exploding and becoming violent bring it on !!! When I leave and I am trying to now I will have my say with him believe me.

I think hope132 needs to consider getting medical and emotional help for herself and rather quickly by the sound of it . . . . and I doubt that you will have a nervous breakdown, you appear rather too selfish for that and consumed with such anger and no empathy . . . . Sorry but you need to hear a home truth or two.

I agree. You are over thinking and letting this situation take over your life. Try and have a little compassion as he is a human being and obviously needs help for good depression

He is not a thing , pity he needs help .
