Why does your roommate need an air freshener? I'm sorry I haven't read all of your other posts about it (I probably should have done first!) If it's to mask a background smell I'm not sure what you can do but if it's for occasional use and if your landlady allows candles, soy candles are clean burning candles. Unlike paraffin candles that burn off chemicals, these burn naturally and have little to no deposits. They are toxin-free and non-carcinogenic. They likely would be fragranced with essential oils which are natural but can cause respiratory problems and allergies still. Good luck 🤞

Hi

These are still chemical based and may not be suitable for lung conditions.

There are no non toxic air fresheners every one I researched on that site has chemicals in them that are not listed by these companies to make money if you research them you will see.maybe the charcoal bags are safe I have to look more but that's it.imagine that human beings lying to make money, who would have figured.the safest thing to do is open a window especially for people with respiratory problems which I'm about to tell my landlady tomorrow

Hi

Look for a cheap air purifier and a array of suitable indoor plants. Mainly for your personal space.

Lots of spider plants - very easy to grow and very difficult to kill.

Hi Hope, air cleaning plants are the answer. I have them in my lounge and bedroom, no need for artificial air freshners. Take care, Maximonkey

A few plants in your living space should help, but if he wants the scent those plug in fresheners create, maybe some nice smelling essential oils would suffice. You simply put a few drops on a cotton ball and place somewhere in the room, or a few drops on the top of a light bulb. The heat from the bulb is supposed to release the scent.
