I suffered from insomnia my whole life. I have to take a prescribed pill n sometimes that doesnt work ! But once I fall asleep I can sleep for 2 days n still be tired. If i have a doctor appt it is easier to stay awake rather than falling asleep. Once I am asleep I cant Wake up . It's difficult n I don't want to get up. I have tried to change my sleep cycle but nothing works. My brain doesn't shut off . Any advice? Thank u

Trying to shut down the old brain-box when trying to get to sleep is always a problem as is controlling what goes on in there once you are asleep. Lucid dreaming is one way of doing that and is currently receiving a lot of interest. As a result there's a lot of information available about it. Do a bit of research and see if it can help you. 😉

Write all your problems in a book. Eat earlier. If you wake up and can't get back to sleep get out of bed. (disassociation).

Writing things down ,I find is very cathartic. I have been keeping journals since I was 16. I have a big treasure box filled with thoughts n questions.over 50 yrs. Writing helps me solve my own questions many times. The plus is I can't even read my own handwriting so noone else can either lol
