Maybe she's afraid of getting lost?I think there is room for several Lola's in there, either it's the camera angle or that's great Dane size as far as beds for pooches go. :) x

True skischool , it could easily fit a few terriers in it lol . I got the bigger size because she likes to stretch right out when she sleeps :) x

I think she's a bit like Scruffy cat and will fit herself into the smallest of places when she feels at home, aren't all our little companions the fussiest of creatures? :) x

She’s teasin ya. My girl has pulled that on me for a collection of those store bought beds throughout the house but the one she actually likes best(besides the hooman bed) is the old comforter I folded into a big square on top of an area carpet w/yoga mat underneath. She’s almost 10 an a large breed I’m tryin to save her from arthritis but she picks the cold hard tile most often since she has about 6 coats of wool and a top guard hair coat and we live in a warm climate I don’t blame her I’ve layes on that cold tile as well when it’s a hot day but my old bones can’t handle it for long. Your Lola needs to see how good she looks in the bed-the colors and pattern really suit her breed look👍 SHes a fashion statement and must know it-have fun w/her give her mustache a kiss for me😘

I made my daughters dog a bed from the old settee seat as she always sneeked on there when we went to bed. She had arthritis and was in horrid pain. She loved that bed and didnt get out if it for days, sadly my daughter had to chuck it out as the dog kept leaking and it got smelly, but she was old, so could be excused x

There’s also no such thing as “spoiling” your dog as long as they’re well behaved and have good manners they deserve everything we can give them since they don’t get to be in our world long enough IMO

Could be related to my Collie doing things like that...

Whatever Lola wants Lola gets ??

carrina profile image
carrina in reply tosyntax

Well, most of what she wants, she gets. I like her to be comfy and well fed and just enjoy treating her . A dogs life is a short one so i like to fill Lolas with pleasure :)

As do ours Carrina. But most dogs get a short life because of the Kibble (dried food) they are fed.Causes things like Arthritis, Cancer,Liver Disease & leaky Gut.They

only need two jabs in their life times, the First & Parva, because they last up to 15 yrs.

Supplements help,Phyloplankton. Turmeric and few others.Raw food is now thought

to be the way forward, with Tripe & other Offal. If you really want your dog healthy

and happy,Google Dog Naturally Magazine.

I do Lolas food myself, she has fresh chicken, pasta and mixed veg , also cubed fresh beef and low fat mince for a change. She also likes the sachets of pedigree chum now and then too. She has blueberries , apple and raw carrot as treats , dislikes dog biscuits and the dog treats also . She wont eat raw meats either.

Wish more people were like you Carrina, they would not spend

so much time at vets.Well done : )

I also Cook fresh Chicken & carrots for My Princess, then mash it up, No other Meats will do, her favourite Chewy is with chicken, at least she can manage that with the few good Teeth she has left. xxx (She still needs to visit Vet when Unavoidable) xxx

Hi, I'm new here but was wondering if you have tried putting Lola's old bed just inside the new one , so she has to walk on new bed to get to her favourite, when she's comfy with that, try moving old bed further in every couple of days & eventually remove when she sleeps in new one. Hope this helps

It would help her for her scent to be on the new bed. Use a blanket or anything with her scent on the bed to encourage, and maybe a few toys as you have the room. Good luck xx

Lol, what are they like! Think I may be heading for same problem as ordered my Weston (Doris) a new bed it is on the way. Some good advice on here for me to follow so ya for that.

Good luck with Lola, hope you have her in the new bed in no time.
