Asthma attack

My asthma has been really bad the past couple of days, have been wheezing quite a lot but just got by until Sunday morning it was x10 worse from 10am -2pm. I rang 111 and they told me to get it checked at the hospital. I was given a nebuliser twice, fluids and had several tests and xrays done. I’m now on antibiotics for a chest infection and on steroids for the next couple of days. Today I feel so tired, exhausted and no energy. Is there anything that anyone does that helps this? I go back to work tomorrow, I work in a nursery so really need my energy back up.

Hello Pink, I do hope you feel better but I wouldn’t return to work if you’re still unwell. Please take care. Xxxx

Hi Pink. I'm sorry about this but you will not be going to work. It can take minimum 6 weeks to recover from a chest infection. You need to tell your consultant your plan but if you don't take it easy you will be back in hospital before you know it. I know it's frustrating but it's really not worth pushing yourself right now it will give you the opposite effect. Please just rest and be a good patient x Mandy
