Fostair may take a couple of weeks to work or you could try increasing the dose to the recommended maximum (see: bnf.nice.org.uk/drug/beclom.... However, Fostair won't work with everyone and is usually the first to be prescribed as it's cheap. I found it made my condition worse which, after 4 different aerosol inhalers, I decided was due to the aerosol itself, so I transferred to Symbicort Turbohaler; the dry powder in that seems to work fine, but we're all different, so you might have to look around a bit - unfortunately, it is trial and error, not pure medical science! However, I'm sure you'll eventually find something which suits.

I was taken off inhailers with steroids in. The specialist put me on Respigen. Each puff lets out a measured amount. It is good for me. As needed. And also ANORO ONCE in the morning only.

Hi, have you tried a 'spacer' device to use when taking the Fostair? It makes it easier to take it and directs the powder onto the lungs more efficiently. Up to 60% can be lost through normal way of using inhalers.

You can get one from a pharmacist for about £10 or you might get it free on prescription off your GP.
