I know those with COPD also suffer a lot with reflux. Sometimes it feels like a stone in the middle of my chest, and my breathing worsens. I'd be very interested to know what others take for this, or find helpful. Thanks.

COPD and Indigestion
I can relate to what you are saying. I take 2 Omeprazole capsules in the morning and another one a tea time. I know it's not ideal but it does work for me.
I belong to a group on FB called Turmeric users group UK. It is very helpful. A lot of people use golden paste for reflux to the point that they can gradually reduce any drugs that they take. You do have to follow the directions closely though. It might be worth a try.
Hello, not just COPD but a lot of lung conditions
I'm asthmatic and have reflux I had an Endoscopy in Feb got diagnosed with hiatus hernia and oesophagitis. They said to me the inhalers doesn't help because the meds don't just go into the lungs also into the oesophagus. Hiatus hernia may of not been helped by the asthma attacks the strain we are in when we are having an exacerbation can make it worse. I also suffer with a bit of anxiety which can increase the acid in the stomach. My symptoms of reflux are: nausea (especially in morning but can occur any point in day now), the nausea can prevent me from eating, and rarely but has happened I vomit and also I get heartburn
I was originally taking 150mg ranitidine twice a day which does kinda work but I was still symptomatic I'm now trialling omeprazole hopefully that helps
I thought my story with reflux might give you ideas x
Hope you find something that helps you
I take esomeprazole and copious amounts of gaviscon but it never really goes away for long. I’ve got used to sore chest lungs etc. Good luck in finding some respite.
