Hi there! My boyfriend has recently been struggling with severe lung pain when he takes deep breaths - the attacks started off as a once-a-day kind of thing but over the last three days he's been having them much more frequently and they've become more intense and last longer. He went to the doctors and they put it down to stress but he's struggling to find the root of that and isn't 100% convinced. Was just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues and if so, how did you deal with them? Thanks!

Hi if they have got a lot worse than he needs to go back to the doctor and tell them. x
Thanks guys! Might also be worth mentioning that it's only in one side.
Did he do a lot of exertion beforehand? I get left -sided rib pain sometimes after stretching my intercostal muscles too far with very deep breathing. It's a sign that I should have used Ventolin beforehand.
I,ve had that, It could be a Pneumothorax, air gets trapped between the pleura a skin covering the lungs, causing a partial part of the lung to collapse a bit at the top usually. can be painful at times , short of breath too . Many times the body absorbs the trapped air and lung returns to normal ,given time and rest .
Can also be fixed , don't worry.
