Been on prednisolone for 12 months after pneumonia left me with Rheumatic arthritis.
I'm down to 5m a day now and see the rheumatologist at the end of May.
I've started to have a squeak in my chest and wheezing even doing simple things.
Any advice would be so.helpful.
I put 10lbs on in a year but that is gradually coming off, I swim most days but even swimming I'm wheezing the GP says it's not asthma or related to the steroids.

I am 72 and 3 years ago spent almost 3 weeks in ICU due to pneumonia and since have been on daily prednisolone varying between 8 mg up to 60 mg a day depending on infection or exacerbation. I was diagnosed with COPD/Emphysema 12 years ago. I often get wheezing in my chest and altering the amount of steroid I take does not always have an effect. Ask for a rehab course where you will be given lots more info and guidance.
