Been on between 10mg-60mg a day for the past 10 years, I've been lucky that my side effects, whilst on it, have been pretty minimal. That said my weight has rocketed over the years because it removes your "not hungry" switch.

When I tried to come off it completely some years ago, I had a lung function crash, and I also found myself sitting in my car in a layby out in the countryside crying for no reason with no idea of how I got there.

So....... It will help with breathlessness (SPO2) and coughing, being on it long term means you have to have will power to not overeat. Dr's will often gloss over this.

They are indeed Scobbie but they assist your breathing.

They do have nasty side effects but my knowledge is limited to having taken them for a short course of a week or so. And the side effects go away when you stop them.

If you are troubled then contact your surgery for advice.
