Hi Guys

I hope you are keeping well.

Just wanted to asked a question about Lung Respiratory Physio.

Had my 2nd scan at the of Oct 5 weeks later got result consultant was happy I didn't have bronchitisis (forgot how to spell it) he said I had pneumonia but it shows alot of mucus in lungs so referred me to community lung respiratory physio in November and I am still waiting for an appointment last time I spoke to them they said house bound people come first.

If any of you have had this how long did you wait for an appointment.

When I first spoke to them first time I was referred they are said 16 week wait.

Do we have to get infections first before being seen.

Thanks

Lina

Hi my advice would be to start exercising now. There are many good videos on YouTube that are related to respiratory conditions. Pulmonary rehabilitation can help but at the end of the day there is lots that you can do yourself.

I am also on opiate based analgesia. Many of the exercises you can do sitting down.

You could try ringing the consultants secretary and ask her to chase it up for you, or get the details from her and chase it up direct. Other than that as badbessie says you could check out youtube which shows you how to do breathing exercises. X
